I had been experiencing issues with a leaking drain pipe on the utility sink in our home. A friend recommended the Irish Plumber on Knudson Drive in Kanata. I spoke with Michael, who arranged for Thomas to attend to my problem. Thomas arrived on the scheduled date and within the agreed time. After assessing the issue, he went to work removing all of the old piping and replacing it with new piping, a strainer body, and a utility pump. There may have been some challenges; however, Thomas did excellent work, and everything worked out perfectly. Thomas was very courteous and engaging, answering all my questions professionally. His work comes with a three-year warranty against any leaks in the work that he performed. I'm a happy camper.
The team at The Irish Plumber were very responsive and thorough with the job. We had to call in for a drain backflow after business hours, and they responded to the call, providing instructions, and getting us booked in as soon as possible. We ended up doing a follow-on job within a few days to replace a segment of main drain pipe. Michael was a champ working through -20 temperatures, and moving up our appointment by a day to get us up and running sooner. Thanks for all the work!
We had a toliet swapped and our frost free hose bib replaced. Our plumber Thomas was polite, and transparent with the estimate. Walked me through the installation after everything was complete. Would like to be able to get a rough estimate for the work before visit, even just a range, but I understand the difficulty in doing so with this type of work. Overall all a good experience and I would recommend the folks at the Irish plumber.
We had “The Irish Plumber” to remediate a leaky installation from a bathroom renovation. I was very impressed with Mike as he came in, assessed the situation and then did an excellent job making it right. His work is very precise with constant checks to ensure correct alignment. He kept the work area neat and cleaned up when the job was done. Both impressed and pleased with the outcome. Recommend highly based on my experience.
The company was very professional in terms of their reception and the plumber was on-time and extremely polite. My problem was the ridiculous price estimate to sweat off the cap on two pipes and replace them with shut off valves under our sink. I think this would have been a 30 minute job at most including all preparations and the estimate was $400, which is on-top of the call out fee of $60. When I initially called, I had asked to get an idea of the cost but they said they cannot estimate the cost until they are on-site. When I heard the $400 cost I refused to have the work done. Instead I just paid the call out fee and did the work myself.
