Our experience with Scotty's Auto Body was excellent. They were very kind, good communicators, and did outstanding work. After getting into a car accident, dealing with them was the only part of the process that was not stressful. The job was completed on schedule, and you cannot tell it was ever in an accident. I would highly recommend Scotty's.
My new vehicle was hit in a minor fender-bender recently, resulting in a long, unsightly scratch to the rear quarter panel. As a good business practice I opted to have two estimates done for repairs. At the first body shop (located on Johnston Rd) I specifically asked if the scrape could be buffed out. The assessor “grunted” that it couldn’t and provided a written quote for over $1500 for repairs. For the second estimate I went to SCOTTY’s and asked the same question. Peter interrupted his break, came outside into the cold and within fifteen minutes the damage was totally buffed out , making the panel look like new. No appointment, no waiting and no invoice. I was so grateful to find a local company which values honesty, integrity and good business practices while providing good old-fashioned customer service. Hopefully I won’t need their services again, but if I do Scotty’s will be my first and only choice.
Can’t recommend these guys enough, wouldn’t go anywhere else in town. I’ve been 3 times, most recently had some front end work needing a new bumper, headlight and hood alignment. Fred was amazing at keeping in touch with me throughout the repairs, and was able to get the parts at exceptional prices. Labour was more than fairly priced (as always) and they even fixed some unexpected damage behind the bumper at no extra charge. If you need any sort of body/paint/general repair done these are the guys, they have an appreciation for cars and always take the time to ensure you get your vehicle back just the way you want it. Oh and they always return the car freshly washed :)
Stopped by to get an estimate on what could be done to fix a loose panel on my old car. I didn't want to replace anything if I didn't have to. They were able to put a couple of screws in under the panel to keep the panel in place (while I waited). Exactly the kind of repair I was looking for ! And at no cost. Thanks Scottys !
