Leak under the kitchen sink was addressed in a very swift and professional way. Cameron explained everything that needed to be done and carried out the task to our complete satisfaction. I couldn’t believe the quick response from the time we inquired to having someone come was within the hour. We would choose John The Plumber any time we have a plumbing issue and can highly recommend their services.
$80 house call for a water heater. The dispatcher had already noted what the issue was (cracked pilot light tube). Technician called around for replacement assembly ($50 part). Quote was $450 to install it (I had already removed the entire burner assembly). Alternate quote of $2500 was provided to replace the 40G tank. I understand costs have increased, but 40G water heaters average $1000. $1500 to install is $200/hr in labour+parts. Bad vibes of being gouged here. [EDIT] After posting my review I was contacted and offered a $80 refund on the service call. I declined, as I felt the tech did show up on time and did do an initial survey. I was then offered a discount off the $2500 quote and the rep explain a breakdown of costs and offered to install next day. The new discounted quote was emailed to me. It was still $400 more than two alternate quotes I had received for an identical unit. Overall, the rep that called me was friendly and tried to make things right, but in the end the price was inflated, and I felt that my review was the only reason for the follow-up call. The $80 I felt was fair, but looking at the website there are $20 discounts offered for booking online. Why not just offer this lower rate to everyone? Overall, I was disappointed and something was off about the whole interaction.

We had Cam at our place to replace some sink taps and he was great. He's helped us on more repairs that we would have liked to have so far in 2026 and each time he has been fantastic. Appointments have been easy to make and John the Plumber has never let us down. Highly recommend.
Contacted John The Plumber in order to have someone come in to install a Smart toilet/bidet. Jon Nadler was assigned the job. Jon showed up promptly on the day of the appointment and did the work. My wife and I found Jon very personable and we were impressed the way he conducted himself throughout; although we had never met before, it actually felt that we had been friends for a long time. The nervousness that one experiences at the fact that something new is being installed in your home, especially something of a nature that you don’t know anything about, dissipated within the first few minutes of his arrival. It was a pleasure to have Jon do the work and we will definitely request him by name next time we need some plumbing installation or repair.
