I’ve been here three times, and while the optometrist has always been lovely, my experiences with the front desk have consistently been uncomfortable. I was referred here specifically because they offer direct billing, yet each visit I’ve been pressured to pay out of pocket after my appointment and had to repeatedly explain my financial limitations in front of other patients before a manager approved the direct billing.
I’ve also felt pressured each time to purchase frames from the clinic after explaining that I buy my frames elsewhere for affordability and fit reasons. The attitude I received around both billing and budget concerns left me feeling judged rather than supported.
I hope the clinic improves how they communicate with patients about financial matters, because no one should feel embarrassed for needing to stay within their budget.

Top marks to Parisa, one of the optical associates, who took my concerns about my new prescription and lenses seriously. She started from point zero again to check what I could actually see and what I couldn't with the new lenses. It was a lengthy process to have the lenses corrected but worth it.
Her patience, empathy and professionalism have allowed me to feel safe in all circumstances where I need my glasses.

My visit was thorough and insightful regarding the proper care of my eyes. The doctor is very pleasant and approachable in terms of any concerns.The other staff members also were very helpful and friendly. I did not feel rushed and they processed my account with ease and explanation.

I had a great experience at FYidoctors with Dr. Shawn. He was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. I was very happy with my visit and would definitely recommend Dr. Shawn and FYidoctors.
