I recently had some bodywork done at European Auto Care, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. I brought my car in for a minor job involving front bumper scratches. Despite it being a smaller project, the workmanship was excellent — the original damage is now completely invisible and the finish is flawless. Since this was not an insurance claim, I shopped around and obtained several quotes; Sung Lim’s pricing was significantly lower than the other quotes I received, providing great value without compromising on quality. The work was also completed within the agreed-upon time frame. What stood out just as much as the excellent workmanship was the service. Sung Lim is a true gentleman— friendly, professional, and very thorough in explaining the work that would be done. His follow-up communication throughout the process was excellent as well. His commitment to his customers is also remarkable. Sometime after the repair, one of the bumper's proximity sensors started to beep erratically. I asked Sung about it and although it wasn't at all certain that the malfunction was related to the repair, he went ahead and fixed the sensor issue — all without any additional charges! It is rare to find this combination of fair pricing, professional integrity, and high-quality craftsmanship. I highly recommend European Auto Care to anyone in the Ottawa area.
The team here does great work and is very honest. My car came back looking better than when I initially bought it from the used lot. Sung provided me two quotes to fix the damage. One consisted of replacing all damaged parts – which he said is the best choice. The second quote consisted of replacing the bumper but then fixing the larger metal piece. He said this could result in some gaps between the seams. I did opted for option 2, but worried about the gaps and if it would be fairly noticeable . With the final work, Sung felt there was some gaps but I think it all looks great and the supposed gaps won’t be noticed by the majority of people. When I saw the finished job, I thought I’d imagined the damage! The team even took care of the top dent by the front of the taillight, which predated my ownership of the car and wasn’t a concern to me to fix - but hugely appreciated. Overall I’d highly recommend European Auto Care. My last car got body work done at another shop years ago but when I called about this, was told they weren’t accepting such jobs anymore. I stressed about who to call now but they recommended European Auto Care. I definitely see why they did!
I attended this shop as it was closest to my home when the underbody panel at the front of my vehicle suddenly came loose and was hanging down, and I needed to ensure the car was safe to drive. The repair required specific clips unique to my vehicle. The shop was exceptionally clean and welcoming. Sung, the owner, was attentive and professional, and the technician who assisted me was also incredibly kind, polite, and knowledgeable. He took the time to clearly explain the issue and secured the panel temporarily at no charge. There is often concern about being taken advantage of when you are not familiar with vehicle repairs, so I especially appreciated the honesty and integrity shown throughout. As a woman, I felt genuinely reassured and respected. I have never received such thoughtful and exceptional service at an auto or body shop, and I will absolutely be returning for paint repairs on my other vehicle. Highly recommend.
Had my BMW bumper repaired. Sung was courteous, professional and so helpful. I walked in for an appraisal and the appointment was soon after. Kevin did an amazing job. Very very satisfied by their work and their prices. Bonus: they offer rebates to first responders, army personnel and seniors! Worth the drive!! Thank you again, Sung and Kevin!
TL;DR - If you have the option to choose your own body shop, I highly recommend Sung Lim and his team at European Auto Care. When my car was hit in the summer of 2022, I was left with little to no options for body repair and estimates because of countless claims being processed by the major body shops due to the summer storm. The earliest availability I had found was 3-4 weeks out. I saw the reviews for this store and took my car there. Sung gave me an estimate the same afternoon and walked me through everything that would be done. It sounded very thorough and more than what I would have expected so I went through with the repairs there. The photos should speak for themselves but Sung and his team did a phenomenal job of doing the repair, blending the paint and went above and beyond to make the car look better than ever. Despite not needing it, he did a full alignment, wheel repair, full bumper repair and paint and a full door paint even though only the fender and a section of the bumper needed repairs. I'm very impressed and pleased with the prompt and high quality repair there and will definitely return.
