When I got my new house, I knew from past experiences that I wanted Capital City Heating & Cooling to help me with my HVAC system. I needed to replace a very old, rented hot water heater before I could move in and have the furnace serviced with some minor repairs. Their sales tech went out of his way to check the old system for me and they dealt with the furnace quickly with lots of info. They made a special effort to get the hot water heater I was buying from them installed as quickly as possible, including having to.put in new pipe to be up to code and returning the old rented hot water heater to its owners. The staff are easy to communicate with, don't leave a mess, friendly & honest. The techs are knowledgeable and answer all your questions. They have good products and don't pressure you in to anything. They made what was a difficult problem very easy for me for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Ottawa area for HVAC appliances & gas fireplace yearly maintenance too.
Capital City Heating and Cooling (CCHC) was professional and attentive from the moment we called and spoke to Jodie (~11pm at night) to request a (*free*) second opinion on our furnace which had stopped working. Alex from CCHC showed up first thing the next morning and was able to confirm the misdiagnosis that a previous company had made - before properly diagnosing the issue. With a full understanding of the required repair we decided to proceed with purchasing a new furnace given the age of our existing unit. There was *NO* pressure from CCHC to do this - Alex simply presented the options. Once we had decided to replace it, Evan, CCHC’s comfort advisor was quick to visit our home to provide a quote. I appreciated that there were no apparent “games” being played with the pricing, and Evan was very transparent about the pros and cons with each unit and did not pressure our decision. We had shopped around before and the price we received from CCHC for our Bryant furnace installed was extremely competitive (and much less than we’d been quoted for lesser units). Lastly, the install team led by Shawn showed up the next day and were respectful of our home, friendly and professional while completing the install and removal of our old unit. I don’t usually write reviews but the professionalism demonstrated by Capital City Heating and Cooling from start to finish was impressive. Thank you for helping us out, and for being an honest and trustworthy business in an industry where that’s not always the case.
Very pleased with the recent emergency service provided by the team at Capital City Heating & Cooling. Jodie was great in the frontline communication with us, while working in the background coordinating & ordering parts. Taylor provided the initial diagnosis service, requiring a special order part. Shawn did the final repair (within 24 hrs of Taylor's visit). All of this was handled free, with the 10 yr parts & labour warranty. Finally heat in February!
I had a great experience with my furnace cleaning. The technician, Kurt, was kind, informative, and very efficient. He took the time to explain what he was doing and answered my questions clearly, which I really appreciated. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly, and everything was left clean and in great shape. I would definitely recommend their service!
I have been using Capital City since 2016 and I have been very pleased with their customer service and work. They are prompt, reliable, competitively priced and very professional. In addition to annual furnace cleaning, they have replaced a furnace and a water heater over the years and they completed the work quickly and cleaned up the area well and they left the area as they found it. I really like that they are a local Ottawa company and when I call, they respond quickly and arrange a service call. I am not transferred to a Toronto call center as I experienced in the past with another company.
