I was referred to this optical clinic to obtain contact lenses to address my vision issues. I previously underwent a corneal transplant in my left eye in 2000 and required only a regular contact lens for my right eye.
I went to see them, for the first time, December 2024. Over the course of approximately one year, the clinic conducted multiple vision measurements and eye examinations. Following these assessments, the specialist recommended a scleral lens for my left eye. Since 2000, I have also undergone laser procedures and a cross-linking treatment to maintain my vision.
The clinic required full payment in advance for the lenses and related services. All measurements and assessments were billed individually.
After one year, I received a scleral lens for my left eye and a hard lens for my right eye. The results were unsatisfactory. The scleral lens caused a deformation in my left eye that affected the area of the corneal transplant. The right-eye lens also caused complications: it became displaced toward the retina and created a suction effect that made removal difficult and potentially harmful.
After removing the scleral lens from my left eye, I experienced a significant loss of vision. I contacted the specialist immediately and provided photographs of my eye. I was instructed to discontinue use of the scleral lens.
During a follow-up appointment, I reported that prior to using the scleral lens, I retained limited functional vision that allowed basic spatial awareness. The specialist stated that my vision had not changed and that the corneal topographies were identical. I have copies of the topographies, and they show differences.
The specialist informed me that no further action could be taken.
Money was their only goal at the end.
As of today, I continue to experience reduced vision in both eyes. The complications occurred during the period of treatment at this clinic.
The only outcome I got from that clinic was a noticeable decline in my vision.
This reflects my personal experience, and I encourage others to carefully review their options and consider seeking additional medical opinions before proceeding with treatment at this location.

I’ve been here three times, and while the optometrist has always been lovely, my experiences with the front desk have consistently been uncomfortable. I was referred here specifically because they offer direct billing, yet each visit I’ve been pressured to pay out of pocket after my appointment and had to repeatedly explain my financial limitations in front of other patients before a manager approved the direct billing.
I’ve also felt pressured each time to purchase frames from the clinic after explaining that I buy my frames elsewhere for affordability and fit reasons. The attitude I received around both billing and budget concerns left me feeling judged rather than supported.
I hope the clinic improves how they communicate with patients about financial matters, because no one should feel embarrassed for needing to stay within their budget.
