Huge woodfired pizza oven, good atmosphere in the heart of the byward market in downtown Ottawa. I went during market hour (4pm-6pm) and the place was packed, found a spot at the bar. Met some great locals including the owner, had a good time. Staff was great, friendly and attentive. I had 3 drinks and got 2 12" pizzas all for less than $50! Will definitely go back and their hot sauce mentioned in other reviews was indeed delicious.
I was able to walk-in on a busy Summer Friday night in the Market and was seated immediately. The Market Hour deals are so good I was able to have two glasses of the house red and a pizza for $23! Pizza was cooked to perfection, and their homemade hot sauce is so flavourful, I saw a few people buy it before they left the restaurant. Friendly and efficient service, and the pizza didn’t take long to come out. An above average spot in the heart of the Market. Highly recommend this spot.
One of the best pizza i have had in recent years. They have market hours from 3-6 and half off on pizza and beer at $5 Monday to Friday. Must try if you like authentic flavors. The host is really humble and tried to accommodate hour preferences.
The Grand Pizzeria & Bar has a great atmosphere in the heart of Byward Market. Their wood-fired pizzas are delicious, and the pasta is rich and flavorful. The ambiance is cozy, and the service is decent, though it can feel rushed at times. A great spot for casual dining, but gluten-free options could be improved. Overall, a solid choice for Italian food lovers!
The meatballs are incredible! Loved all of the food! Our server (Adrian) took great care of us. 5-star experience! Will come back again. Highly recommended!
