I came in yesterday with my friend for a nice girls day. I show the artist who will be doing my nails my reference picture and right away he seems nervous. He shows the artist next to him and calls over another girl to take a look at the picture. They are talking for about 5 minutes until he goes to get the colours. While putting the colour on the lady comes back a couple more times and the last time looks at me and tells me that it’ll be give or take $120. I agree with the price because I’m set on the design and assume it will look like the original. Throughout my appointment the artist seems very rushed and not paying attention to the detail on the nails. While there are multiple different shades of colour in the reference picture, only one is used for the yellow. At the end of my appointment I look over my nails and very un happy with the results. The lines aren’t clean. The colour under the lines is the same as on top. There is smudging. It just looks like a rushed and unclean product. I would’ve rather had been told that they are unable to do the set rather than paying $120 (excluding tip) for a rushed and cheap looking set.
I have been here going for over 5 years. Best place in Ottawa!! Lindsie is the absolute best💕💕💕 she’s so patient and kind. She’s the only person in Ottawa I trust with my nails. I don’t even live in Ontario but patiently wait to book with here every time I’m in town. Always leave here feeling like a QUEEN! Also highly recommend the deluxe pedicure for the ultimate pampering ☺️
I had a really great experience. I had a hard time finding a place to do all the services I was looking for. I managed to book the night before for three services: manicure, pedicure and a wax. My nails were done by Lindsie and she was so great. I showed her a picture once of what I was hoping for on my fingernails and she executed perfectly. She kindly let me know it was totally fine to be on my phone if I wanted (I rarely get kid free time so I wanted to watch a movie). She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I had input and liked it. I love how they turned out. The pedicure was great, I really enjoyed the massage chair, scrub and foot/ calf massage. My toes turned out cute too. My wax was done by someone else, I’m kicking myself for not catching her name, maybe Linh? That’s the name that was on the certification on the wall in the room. She was very kind and chatted with me about our kids. I would highly recommend this place. I don’t get my nails done often at all but I will definitely go back here whenever I do.
Nails are okay not great. The pic is my nails vs the inspo pic. Not the best job, I told the guy multiple times that the dots weren’t good but he kept brushing me off and wouldn’t listen. I don’t like to be picky but when your paying for a service there should be some level of quality. they told me the wrong price and then charged me more. I won’t be going back. There are much better places that are cleaner and honest. I told the guy at the front that the woman who I showed the picture said it would be $75. He said okay but still proceeded to charge me $95. I wasn’t going to argue. Even if you did get it wrong at least own up to it and honour it. I wouldn’t have gotten the design if I knew it was almost $100. This was also just a FILL not a full set. Additionally, it was extremely busy, they overbooked themselves, some people waiting over a hour for their appointment. It was not clean. I saw people take their next customer without changing towels or cleaning tools. They were clearly just rushing to get onto the next customer. The first time I went there it was ok. But now I won’t be coming back. Edit* they have responded but, I just left there maybe 20 minutes ago, voicing these concerns at the salon. It should have been addressed in the first place and not just to make your reviews look better*
I found Lindsie as a recommendation through the reviews and she did not disappoint! Very kind and attentive to details. Got both a French tip full set and pedicure with shellac and it was very well done.
